It's 5:30 pm and the sun has set into darkness, with lights glowing both inside and out. Thanksgiving has come to a close, and December is right around the corner. This letter has arrived as our way to ask for your help. As you may know, the MA Society for Bioenergetic Analysis recently launched it's first Training Group in a decade. We have a stellar teaching staff on board, and just finished the first weekend (of the second year!) with 7 eager, bright and open men and women. And now we want to share all of our, (yours and ours, and of course the trainees') good fortune with you: The strength, grace and commitment of the group members to their own growth, to understanding bioenergetic principles, and to bringing the work to others, is unfolding in a profound and deeply feelingful (to those of you who are bioenergetic therapists--remember that word from your training!?) way. We are always open to adding more trainees, and have created a one-room schoolhouse model in keeping with the current trend of many of the Bioenergetic Societies around the world.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Here is where your help comes in:

In order to continue to run in the black, and to support the Training Program, the MSBA needs your support. These difficult economic times are making scholarships for most of the trainees, who are all in their early to mid-thirties, a necessity. There are 2 ways you can help and if you choose one or both, you will be helping to sustain the MSBA.

First, we are asking all of our friends, and all of you who have had the gifts of Bioenergetics in your life as both a way of working, and as a way of breathing and 'being' in the world, to consider making as large a donation as you are able. These are tax-deductible donations, and are being given to our fledgling but invaluable organization at the timely period marking the end of the 2011 fiscal year.

Please consider giving a gift of any size. Suggested donations:

$1,000 (or more)
$500
$250
$100
$50
$25

or any amount that is affordable for you.

The second way you can help, is to join and become a member of the MSBA.
The benefits of membership include:

Supporting the growth and values of Bioenergetics in Massachusetts including on-going training.
You will also receive invitation to a local MSBA Networking/ Meet and Greet scheduled for the Spring of 2012; MSBA board members and Trainees will be present.
You will receive a 10% discount to all MSBA sponsored events.
You will receive a T-shirt celebrating the MSBA, and Bioenergetics

To join the MSBA, click on the Membership Link at the bottom of this letter.

You may pay for your tax-deductible donations or Membership either through PayPal or by check. Please send your check, written out to the MSBA to:

lowen quote

Bioenergetics is a way of understanding personality in terms of the body and its energetic processes. Bioenergetic Analysis is a form of therapy that combines work with the body and the mind to help people resolve their emotional problems and realize more of their potential for pleasure and joy in living.

The Massachusetts Society for Bioenergetic Analysis, Inc. (MSBA), is a professional organization whose primary mission is to provide professional training in Bioenergetic Analysis, leading to certification as a Bioenergetic Therapist. MSBA also provides consultation, referrals to bionenergetic therapists, bioenergetic exercise classes to support individuals' ongoing work with their bodies, and workshops and seminars on topics relating to bioenergetics.
